About Goldsmiths

SysMus 14 will be held at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Goldsmiths is situated in New Cross, a vibrant area of South East London

described by The New York Times as a “hub of creative talent.”

The area has a thriving music and arts scene, fantastic restaurants,

buzzing cafes, and a genuinely diverse and eclectic population and is

just a 15-minute train ride from the centre of London.

As a part of the wider University of London, Goldsmiths has a rich academic history and yet is renowned for its unique and creative approach. Goldsmiths is home to the Music, Mind and Brain group, a team of researchers investigating the cognitive, computational and neuroscientific bases of musical understanding and behaviour. With a keen emphasis on interdisciplinarity, Goldsmiths is at the forefront of research in systematic musicology with active projects integrating the fields of computing, psychology and music.
